Handmade and Vintage Treasures!
I signed up to create an Etsy shop, but was busy writing and publishing my first book, so the shop was put on the back burner. With the book finished, I've been doing what I can to simplify my life, finding more balance to help me do all the things I need to do, but also what I love to do. I love to create jewelry, write, spend time gardening, watching and listening to nature, and helping Vietnam Veterans. I have jewelry here to bring attention to Agent Orange and how it is still affecting not just our Veterans, but also their families! A portion of each sale of my military jewelry helps our local chapter of the Vietnam Veterans of America 1019 in Winchester Virginia!
I started creating jewelry for myself, family and friends, to show what I believe in and my personal beliefs. Friends urged me to find ways to share my jewelry with more people, so Mystickblue Cottage was born! I then added jewelry to bring attention to Veterans and their needs and those who served our Country. Some other Causes I stand for are Arthritis, Fibromyalgia, Diabetes, Cancer, Animal and Human Cruelty and saving Mother Earth, to name a few. My love of animals and helping them will also be a muse for more jewelry and items to come!
I am now adding another of my passions to my store, Vintage items. I've always loved antiques and things with a story. I am drawn to them like a magnet. I have a good eye for what's real vintage and what's not. I have been collecting for many years. Just a few of my personal collections are light houses, bears and bunnies, apples, books, oil lamps, angels and fairies, cottages, santas and snowmen, clocks and coins. I'm a little embarassed to say, there are more! (big smile) I'm researching and learning even more about vintage and antique items so I can share the best information possible with my buyers.
I am a Lightworker, Earth lover, Activist and Writer who lives in the country with nature and the trees I love so much. I am an Energy Healer who is sensitive to energy around me and I do my best to create positive energy and share it. I love crystals, stones, and natural things and all my jewelry is created, cleansed and consecrated with positive energy and love, before shipping to you. I may cleanse with the Full moon, New Moon, incense, the sun, running water or other crystals; whichever is best for the gemstones used. The jewelry created with real stones, such as amethyst, quartz or carnelian, to name a few, are all chosen for a reason whether for healing, peace, prosperity, good dreams or a long list of different purposes. I am adding jewelry that highlights our life paths, inspiration, love of animals, faeries, angels, Mother Earth, goddess, gratitude, joy, love, peace and more!
Somedays, I may move a little slower than others due to my Arthritis, Fibromyalgia and other health issuses. I had a Total Left Knee Replacement in December 2015 and it's been challanging. I love gardening and going "pickin" for cool stuff. My husband and I have five dogs, four parrots, two finches and we are always working hard to help animals in one way or another, wild or domestic. I am also a amateur photographer and avid wildlife watcher! We keep busy helping Veterans and I donate a portion of sales of my military jewelry to our local chapter of the Vietnam Veterans of America 1019 in Winchester Virginia!
My husband, Ron is a thirty year Military Retired Veteran. He helps me with my store because there's a lot of work to do! We have fun together and we pray you enjoy what we're doing. He is my official Post Office Delivery man!
